By using dooflist.com or subscribing to its calendar feed you agree to the following. They are short because there is not much to agree to.

The list can be wrong

Every gig here was read from another site by a program, and then checked for duplicates and genre by more programs. Dates move, gigs cancel, venues change, and a listing can be misread. Check the ticket seller before you pay or travel. Dooflist is a pointer to the box office, not the box office: it sells nothing, takes no payment, and is not party to any ticket you buy.

As is

The site and the feed are provided free, as they are, with no promise that they will be available, complete or correct. To the extent New Zealand law allows, Dooflist is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on a listing, from a gig that is not as described, or from the site or feed being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be limited; nothing on Dooflist is offered for sale.

The feed

dooflist.com/auckland.ics is free to subscribe to, for personal use or to show on your own site with a credit. Its address is permanent. What it carries may change: gigs come and go, and the shape of an entry may improve. Poll it the way a calendar app does, a few times a day at most.

Reading the site by machine

Dooflist reads other sites with a robot that says who it is and keeps a polite pace, and asks the same of you. Identify your crawler, honour robots.txt, and do not hammer the site. The listings themselves belong to the venues, promoters and artists named on them, not to Dooflist, and taking them from here does not change that.

Other people’s content

Posters, descriptions and line-ups are shown from the original listings so people can find the gig. They stay the property of whoever made them. If some of it is yours and you want it corrected or gone, this is the page, and it happens without a fuss.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand. When they change in substance the date at the bottom of this page changes with them. The robot is called DooflistBot; the person is at [email protected].
