About this gig
Night two of our 8th birthday, and we're stretching this one out in a few different directions. Romania's Cosmjn sits in that beautifully stripped-back space between minimal techno and tech house, with releases across labels including Subtil, Eastenderz and Playedby. Around that we're bringing together European guests, longtime friends of the studio and some of the people who have helped give this place its musical identity. There'll also be a live section from a selection of our in-house crew. We don't entirely know what that's going to become yet, which is partly the point. From live experimentation into deep, minimal and rolling late-night grooves, this should be a fairly accurate representation of Silent Studios itself: a little bit international, a lot local, occasionally improvised and held together by people who genuinely enjoy making things happen. Happy birthday to us.
